Elizabeth A. Stuller, MD

Dr. Stuller earned her B.A in Psychology from Louisiana State University. She earned her M.D. from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Psychiatry at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Here she served as a Chief Resident and was voted by faculty the John R. Benson Award “For Outstanding Teaching Skills during Residency Training”. She completed her Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore MD. She was ABPN Board Certified in Psychiatry in May of 2007 and ABPN Board Certified in Addiction Psychiatry in May of 2008.
Dr. Stuller has experience in treating adults, adolescents, and geriatric populations in all aspects of psychiatry and addiction medicine. In addition to working at the Amen Clinic, Dr. Stuller is principal owner and CEO of Stuller Resettings, LLC, where she works in Baltimore City with EHP Behavioral Services treating Dual Diagnosis patients at the Union Memorial Hospital and White Marsh Locations. She additionally teaches medical residents at Union Memorial Hospital, and volunteers with the City of Baltimore Staying Alive Program on “the block” in inner city Baltimore. She also serves on the State of Maryland Physicians Health Committee overseeing case management of impaired physicians. She is the former Chief of Psychiatry at Baltimore Behavioral Health where she co-directed the Ambulatory Detoxification Unit, and the Partial and Intensive Outpatient Programs. She has additionally worked at the Veterans Hospital in Baltimore MD, and the Kolmac Clinic in Columbia, MD with experience in ambulatory outpatient Methadone and Suboxone Detoxification and Maintenance Programs respectively. She has additional training in Pain Management, Eating Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Group Psychotherapy.

Elisabeth Jorandby, MD

Dr. Lantie Elisabeth Jorandby graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience. Following her undergraduate degree, she attended medical school at the University of Florida, graduating in 2002. During medical school, Dr. Jorandby was awarded the Lindy Levin scholarship and volunteered in the low income clinic run by the medical students of the University of Florida. She also served as the president of the University of Florida College of Medicine branch of the American Medical Women’s Association.

She pursued residency in psychiatry at the University of Florida and was recognized as Intern of the Year her first year and received the Resident Academic Excellence Award three years in a row. She served as Chief Resident in her fourth year.

Following her training, she worked for 7 years as a staff psychiatrist and ultimately mental health supervisor at the Viera, Florida VA Outpatient Clinic. In addition, during her time at the VA, Dr. Jorandby volunteered as the traveling physician for several Honor Flights for World War II and Korean War veterans from the Space Coast of Florida.

Dr. Jorandby completed an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Yale School of Medicine before assuming a position as Medical Director for the dual diagnosis unit at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts. She also served as faculty at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Psychiatry.

Dr. Jorandby is board-certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is board-certified in Addiction Medicine. She is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry.

Dr. Jorandby’s publications include “Addiction to Food and Brain Reward Systems” in Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity, which was published in The Journal of Treatment and Prevention, “Are Buprenorphine and Methadone Opioid Agonist Treatment Patients Different?: A National Veterans Sample Analysis” submitted to the Journal of Drug and Alcohol Dependence, “Treatment of Compulsive Pornography Use with Naltrexone: A Case Report” JAMA Psychiatry, and “Caring for Veterans with Co-Occurring Substance and Mental Health Disorders: Challenges and Considerations” in The Mental Health of Veterans, Springer -publication Fall 2015.

During her free time, Dr. Jorandby enjoys traveling, running and cooking for her family. She also loves spending time with her dog, Bandit. She is an avid reader and loves to root for her beloved Gators in any sport.

Teresa Micheli, MA

Inspired by her own experiences as a parent, volunteer and public education employee, Teresa pursued a career in psychology with interest in how individuals can be shaped by genetic background as well as environmental circumstances and experiences. Graduating with honors, Teresa earned her BS in Psychology from George Mason University while conducting research as a volunteer in the biopsychology lab. Soon after, Teresa earned her MA in biopsychology, focusing her research on mineral supplementation and the role of stress in the development of psychiatric disorders.

Her research has been presented at such conferences as the Society for Neuroscience, the Association of Psychological Science and the Geological Society of America, and published. While at George Mason, Teresa received five awards including Outstanding Senior Award and Outstanding DBS Master’s student. She obtained two grants to fund her thesis project entitled: Stress induced hippocampal deficits associated with zinc supplementation. In addition, Teresa holds two publications highlighting her expertise in behavioral testing. She is currently pursuing BCIA certification.

Kyrena Robinson, PhD, BCHN, PMP, CM graduated Suma Cum Laude from the University of Natural Health with a Doctoral degree in Holistic Sports Nutrition. Robert Nadol, MD

Robert Nadol, MD is an experienced and accomplished psychiatrist – knowledgeable and skilled at diagnosis and therapy and also an up-to-date psychopharmacologist. His career spans profound changes in psychiatry from dominance of psychoanalysis to dominance of psychopharmacology. He knows how and when to properly use each for the right person and challenge. As part of the Amen Clinics team, he now uses the holistically-minded approach to the complex biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors influencing mental and physical well-being. Wykeisha Highsmith, APRN, PMHNP-BC

A graduate of Yale University School of Nursing (YSN), Wykeisha is a national board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), family specialty, with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).  As a Family PMHNP-BC, Wykeisha provides psychiatric support for all ages, with a sub-specialty working with children and adolescents.  Being a nurse practitioner, Wykeisha joins the Amen medical team with a unique approach, incorporating great empathy and compassion into her medical delivery.  Using a nursing model, she promotes health, restoration and wellness to each individual patient with a unique treatment plan.

In 2002, Wykeisha earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from Howard University.  In 2006, Wykeisha obtained a Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing from YSN.  She returned to Yale and in 2012 earned a Post-Master’s Certificate in Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, which enables national certification of psychiatric treatment for all ages.  As a family PMHNP, she is a prudent practitioner in the evaluation and treatment of the full spectrum of conditions within the DSM-V diagnostic manual of mental health conditions.  In addition to proficiency in most common mental illnesses, work experiences have enabled her to develop specialty skills involving the following:  Co-morbid physical and mental health conditions, direct and in-direct emotional trauma (i.e. neglect, abandonment, abuse), physical trauma, self-injurious behavior, anger outbursts, chronic stress, hyper-arousal, intermittent and chronic fluctuations in mood, inattention/poor concentration, impulsivity, addictive behaviors, dysthymia/depression, excessive worry, sleep disturbance, obsessive behavior, compulsive behavior, borderline and obsessive personality character traits, and others.  Academic interests include brain-based research, alternative interventions for brain health, and the integration of physical and mental health medicine.

Michael Seyffert, MD, MS

Dr. Michael Seyffert, M.D., M.S. is board certified in Psychiatry, Neurology and Sleep Medicine with special competence in Child Neurology and Pediatric Sleep Medicine. Dr. Seyffert’s clinical expertise also includes being certified in Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (r-TMS).

Dr. Seyffert has devoted his professional life to furthering our understanding of the underpinnings of mental health and developing innovative and individualized treatments for children and adults. As a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and a recent attending physician at Ann Arbor Veterans Administration Hospital, Dr. Seyffert is particularly interested in integrated treatments for traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He has received additional training at the NYU Child Study Center, Columbia University, and University of Michigan. Dr. Seyffert has over 14 peer reviewed publications.

Dr. Seyffert has twenty-seven years of service in the military acting as a Second Lieutenant, Major and, most recently, as Chief Flight Surgeon in the U.S. Air Force.

Dr. Seyffert is married with 3 children and has most recently relocated his family to the Bellevue area from Michigan.  He has followed the work of Amen Clinics for over 15 years and is honored to be a part of a practice that is forging forward with utilizing functional imaging as a psychiatric approach to diagnosing and treating those with mental disorders.

She has a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, with an emphasis in health psychology, and has extensive post-graduate training in disordered eating behaviors, nutrition, and holistic obesity care. Zoe is passionate about her work as a nutrition counselor and holistic health coach, and has led support groups and taught seminars on emotional eating, whole foods nutrition, stress management, self-care, and others.

Juntira Laothavorn, MD

Dr. Juntira Laothavorn is a clinical psychiatrist at Amen Clinics Atlanta.  Having lived in different parts of the world, Dr. Laothavorn brings her international perspective to her practice. She believes in treating the whole person and addressing all the different aspects of the bio-psycho-social-spiritual components.

She graduated from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA and went on to complete her psychiatry residency at University of Illinois College of Medicine – Peoria. She is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy which she likes to incorporate into her sessions.  She has a special interest in addiction, especially behavioral addiction such as internet, gaming and sex addiction.

She especially enjoys working with teenagers and transitional age youth who may have mood and anxiety problems or addictive tendencies.

Isma Jamil

Encouraged by her own family’s struggles with wellness, Isma earned her M.D. from the UNIBE School of Medicine. During her time in the Dominican Republic, Isma volunteered with Boston’s Brigham & Women’s Hospital to provide free prosthetics and knee replacement surgeries to the underprivileged. She also worked in Haiti after the tragic earthquake in 2010, and provided medical aid to those in need.  There, she witnessed the psychological impact the disaster had on the people of Haiti, which sparked her interest into the field of Psychiatry and the Neuroscience.

Isma has since pursued her passion for the field at the Amen Clinics. She has taken part in trainings with Joel Lubar, Ph.D., BCIA-EEG Senior Fellow, and QEEG Diplomate. She particularly enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults who suffer with ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Isma is currently providing qEEG’s and Neurofeedback therapy at the Amen Clinics in Reston and is additionally pursuing her BCIA certification.
