Dr. Chapek is passionate about helping people feel their best and be their most effective selves—he really listens. He looks for the cause of disease and illness and treats the whole person, not just the symptoms; he uses medications when needed but typically uses the least forceful most effective methods possible.
Dr. Chapek studied human biology at the University of Kansas and then naturopathic medicine at Bastyr University’s internationally renowned medical school. Dr. Chapek is a licensed naturopathic physician with primary experience in mental health care. He received his clinical psychiatric experience from 2007 to 2013 while treating patients with severe mental illness and addiction issues in a partial hospital program as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Dr. Chapek is effective in the assessment and treatment of patients with a variety of mental health issues, which include severe depression, anxiety, ADHD/ADD, eating disorders, addiction issues, dementia, sensory processing disorders, autistic spectrum disorder, and traumatic brain injuries. Dr. Chapek helps a wide variety of individuals and families including seniors, adults, and teenagers.
Using the Amen Clinics Method, Dr. Chapek guides patients toward effective natural solutions such as nutritional supplements, brain training, diet modifications, bio-identical hormones and physical exercise, but can also discern when higher-level interventions such as medication, are necessary.
Dr. Chapek enjoys spending time with his wife and three children as well as running, exploring the Pacific Northwest, and free-diving in the Puget Sound.
